Gingerbread house making contest

December 13, 2009 at 10:45 am (Uncategorized)

Good Sunday Morning to you all, its been a busy weekend already and i am ready for a day of relaxation and football. Yesterday was the annual Gingerbread house making contest and we had a nice crowd here all day. The houses seem to just get better and better each year with more creativity. We also had a birthday party for Brittany and Lori as Brittanys birthday was during the week and her parents had a party for her on Thursday and Loris birthday is on Christmas eve and everyone is busy with the Christmas events.

Next on the social agenda is the annual Christmas party that everyone looks forward to.That will be next Saturday evening. We will probably have Christmas with Kevin that evening as well. He will be the only one not here on Christmas Day, He said his father called and told him they had no one to spend the holidays with again and could they come to his house, so he will be entertaining them this year.Silly kid wanted to come here Christmas afternoon for a couple hours but i had to tell him that you cant have company for the holidays and then leave them at your house alone for hours to go visit other people…Rude!! So we will celebrate with him before Christmas Day.Neslihans family is in town and they have wonderful holiday traditions so they will all have a nice time celebrating over there as well.

My sweet little Madison will also be here this year for the holidays and i can not wait to see her. My Brother , Madison and her mother will all be here this year , not sure how many days they plan on staying but any time i can spend with that little princess is a gift in itself.

Well i have a good bit of photos of the gingerbread houses to load and will put them up here this afternoon.

Hope you all have a wonder rest of the weekend.

Dearest Beth, I came here to see if we could be civil and get together since Larry and I bought you and Mr.Jack a christmas Gift.We have always loved Jack since he made us that disk of Kaleys graduation and that beautiful framed picture. Sadly only to find this rant again about Larry….I do not wish to argue anymore with you especially this time of year when happiness seems to be running rampant:)Actually, our daughter\’s family is spending Christmas Eve with her husbands family and then driving out of State to spend Christmas Day with her Dad….Our son and his family are spending Christmas Eve with his wife\’s Dad and Christmas with Ange and her family at their Dads…For years since my divorce in 1994 I have always made sure the kids get ample time with their Father…He takes one year and I take the next….My children love their Father as yours does:)See, we have reservations for a week in Piegeon Forge for a family Christmas.Since we are going to be coming through there my husband wanted to see his family. Grandpa stopped to see Larry at the shop not long ago and I got beautiful birthday flowers from them this year….My husband misses his brother David as well and we would like to see him and Lori and spend some time with them…Kevin and Neslihan have been down here staying at our house a few times since the summer. They even brought her brother and stayed a few days at the house. We talk via Facebook to her family as well and all of us are excited to finally be able to meet…She is a beautiful girl with a good heart and we are all blessed to have her in our lives:)Actually, we are not company coming to Kevins we are Mom and Dad and we are mature enough to not make issues for him visiting you on Christmas Day.Like I said we have been sharing holidays with my ex for many years….Kevin loves you both:)It will also be nice seeing Denise and her family again. We have a lot to catch up on and since we are family now that will be fun:)Well, I came here to wish you a Merry Christmas and that is what I am leaving you with reguardless of your remarks.I hope one day you find some comfort:)BlessingsCharlotte Wedhorn

Hello Charlotte, i have re-read the above post and for the life of me can not see what it is you are refering to when you state that i as ranting. If anything it is a short and to the point blog ,if you look back you will see that i rarely use this blog anymore as i havent had alot of time for blogging since the beginning of summer. If you are refering to the word "Company" then maybe we both have a different view of the word because if i go to visit my children at thier homes then i am considered a guest or company how ever you want to word it since i dont live there. When they come here weather family or not they are still considered a guest and should be treated as so. I would not have anyone in my home , be it family or friends, and then walk out and leave them there for hours while i went to visit someone else. Yes, i do find that rude and if you consider that a rant then i just dont see it, and it certainly wasnt directed at Larry, if anything it was something that Kevin needs to look at and realize its just not the right thing to do. I also told Kevin we could visit with them over the weekend so that he did not feel the need to leave on Christmas day.I too have no intention or wish to argue with you or anyone for that matter during the holiday or any other time during the year. I do not know if that was just a general statement or if you feel that i have been arguing with you on here but i dont see how when i have barely written a hand ful of blogs since June. I have not had the time to keep up with this blog or to even visit with those on here that do have them.If i have commented on other peoples blogs three or four times in the past 6 months that is a stretch to say the least. I am sure many people here think i have dropped off the blogging planet.Since you have seen Kevin and Nesli over the summer then you are aware that i have had her brothers and parents here at the house for the first 6 months of the year, if not all of them at one time or a few at a time. It was a busy time here and there wasnt time for blogging or much of anything else and when summer hit we still had alot going on. When kev and nesli got thier own place i still continued to have company here every weekend since my brother was in the military stationed close by. He and his friends stayed here most every weekend leaving little time to get much done around here let alone play on the computer.I dont have time right now to finish this as lunch time is over and since i am still lucky enough to have a job in this aweful economy i am not going to risk it by playing on here.Have a safe trip and i hope you both have a wonderful holiday.
